Building for the next chapter.
Author partnerships, incentives, and the economics of a creator program.
Conceptual illustration, not a product screenshot or internal company interface.
Context
At Pocket FM, I worked on the Premier Author Program as part of my UGC Growth responsibilities.
Problem
A creator partnership program needs to bring together author recruitment, onboarding, incentive design, and a view of commercial performance.
Constraints
The public figures below are approximate aggregate figures supplied by Mohit. They do not represent profit, incremental impact, or a causal attribution to one person. Contract terms and author-level information are excluded.
My role
I contributed to recruitment and onboarding, author partnerships, performance analysis, and iteration within the program.
Approach
An explanatory framing of the problem, rather than a verbatim internal playbook.
- 01
Understand the fit between author needs and the program.
- 02
Connect recruitment with onboarding readiness.
- 03
Consider incentives alongside the economics of partnerships.
- 04
Review performance to inform subsequent iterations.
Execution
Worked on onboarding approximately 40 authors over six months, alongside program execution, partnerships, and performance analysis.
Conceptual execution loop. No internal process or performance data shown.
Outcome
Approximately 40 authors onboarded over six months, with approximately $460K in associated revenue and $200K in advances. Revenue and advances are reported separately; subtracting them would not establish profitability.
What I learned
Incentives shape participation, but participation alone is not the whole picture. Program decisions need both a creator perspective and a commercial one.
